In fact, even if a product development project often begins by the expression of an explicit need, breakthrough innovation takes an interest in unexpressed wishes and dreams.
This is the vocation of the “exploration – innovation” missions we deploy on themes that we have been entrusted with. These missions, sometimes transversal, are found upstream of product development programs. They often arise from strategic questioning, user “insight” or an emerging “tension”, and are subject to a research “brief”.
i.e., from a nearly blank page or only one promising “insight” :
- free exploration of a territory and its harvest
- an interpretation book of potentials
- the concretisation of conceptual possibilities and/or prototypes ...
